Donate in your will
By remembering Friendship Home in your will, you are helping improve the lives of victims of domestic violence and their children.
You may wish to support Friendship Home through your estate plan. There are several ways to arrange an estate gift. The most common is to make a bequest through your will. Many donors also use a living trust provision to make the disposition. In either case, the plan can be amended.
Other revocable options for making a gift include designating Friendship Home as Payable On Death (P.O.D.) for a certificate of deposit or other personal account. You may decide to name Friendship Home as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy while you retain ownership of the policy. Either method can be done in confidence and at no cost.
Although it is not necessary to inform us of your intentions to make an estate gift to Friendship Home, we would like the opportunity to thank you and keep you informed of our work. You can contact the Development Director at 402-434-0160.
Confidentiality of Donor Information
Friendship Home will not share or sell any information concerning a donor or prospective donor, including his/her name, contact information, the names of any beneficiaries, the amount of her/his gift, and the size of her/his estate. All such information will be kept strictly confidential within the staff, fundraising volunteers and Board Members of Friendship Home unless permission is obtained from the donor to release such information. Friendship Home will not send mailings to donors on behalf of other organizations.
Friendship Home is a 4-Star Charity
In December 2016, Friendship Home was given Charity Navigator’s highest rating of four stars. This distinction indicates how efficiently financial support is utilized, how well programs and services are sustained over time and the level of commitment to good governance, best practices and openness with information.
Friendship Home is now one of only five charities in Lincoln and twenty-five in Nebraska to receive a 4-star rating.
